Josh Rucci is the General Manager and Global Head of Bloomberg Content Service, the company’s Media Licensing and Distribution division. Josh is responsible for all third party partnerships involving Bloomberg media content including news, photography, video, data and television. His organization includes Sales, Strategic Partnerships, Product Development, Marketing, Sales Operations, Financial Operations, Strategic Planning and the Photo teams. Josh has full P&L responsibility for the business. Josh has been a key player in contributing to Bloomberg Content Service’s double-digit sales growth annually since 2012. Prior to his promotion to lead the group, he was Global Head of Content Sales, where he oversaw sales of the Bloomberg Professional service, news, photos, data and video to newspapers, magazines, broadcasters and online publishers around the world.
Josh has in-depth knowledge of the global media industry and extensive management, commercialization and syndication experience. He previously served as the senior director of Media and Broadcast for Getty Images. Since joining Getty Images in 2006, he held senior business development and sales positions in New York and London and oversaw the management of over 1,800 media clients in the UK and Ireland. Josh also held sales management roles at ESPN and Reuters America, working in locations around the world.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston College and Master’s of Business Administration from Babson College.
